You know that feeling when big things are happening in your life, where one act has the ability to spin the momentum of your life into a completely different tailspin?
Sometimes you don’t expect it, things happen, but other times, you choose to spin things to a completely different course than the one your currently traveling?
Well, something kinda big is going on in my life, something that would absolutely change the course and direction of my future, and when that happens, I get super nervous. I have trouble finding an appetite, but knowing how important it is to eat, I had to make something for dinner.
That’s when I remembered a shake that I’d gotten from Erica, a friend and Bootcamp instructor.
Her original recipe:
Chocolate Protein Powdervanilla Greek yogurtcoconut milk and a little unsweeted coconut (or there is a dairy free/soy free frozen coconut milk – it is literally frozen coconut milk with a little agave in it and you can use that too) a few almondsand a few cubes of ice (if you don’t use the frozen coconut milk)Blend and enjoy!!
I did it similar- since the coconut milk is a fat and the nut I consider to be a fat, I used 1 tbsp of coconut milk, and 1 tbsp of almonds. I used 1 large scoop of chocolate meal replacement (Prograde), and an entire 6 oz. chobani vanilla yogurt. To make it complete, I added a handful of frozen raspberries, blended, enjoyed.
I should point out, this is a higher, calorie-dense shake; not a pre or post-workout-I needed it in order to increase my daily caloric intake. To have this as a snack, lower the proportions to suit your caloric and nutritional needs.
This was “eaten” as a meal replacement, in place of dinner.
Awesome shake, complete meal, can’t get much better!
Thanks for the inspiration, Erica!
