Prograde's Pumpkin Pie

Tonight I’m posting this recipe kinda in celebration, as I have been blessed with a fantastic opportunity with Prograde Nutrition; recipe development for their products.  I couldn’t be more excited.  Thanks for the opportunity, guys!

That being said, I had created a shake a while back, and have revisited it to be a more precise, delicious shake.

Put in a blender:  1/2 c canned pumpkin, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 2 tbsp. pecans, walnuts or almonds, 1/2 c. cottage cheese, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Prograde) (a little more or less to your taste, depending on how sweet you like it), and 3/4 c. COLD water (again, a little more or less, depending on the thickness you prefer-but regardless of thickness preference, MAKE SURE THE WATER IS COLD!).

Blend, pour into a glass, and enjoy a (seemingly) sinful delicious, supportive treat!

Prograde Pumpkin Pie Shake

Perfect for my fellow Warp Speeders!!!!

Again, to the folks over at Prograde, thanks a bunch!

First of all… congratulations! This is a great accomplishment (and has totally motivated me to continue working on my professional goals)! Maybe we will be seeing your name in Women’s Health magazine someday soon! :)

Secondly… I had one of the protein powder shakes this morning (warp speed recipe) and I added coffee instead of water like one of you recipes suggested. SO GOOD! Thank you!

  3. Hi Hallie, thanks a bunch, and I’m so glad you liked the coffee!

One question about Prograde’s Pumpkin Pie: Do you think that you could make it, refridgerate it for 4 hours or so, and it would still be okay to eat?

  5. Yep, I made my partner-in-warp speed his pumped up pumpkin shake last night (and took this picture) for his snack today. I put it in a water bottle, then before drinking it he shook it. If it thickens up, add a little water first, then shake it again. It was about 16 hours from the time I made it to the time he drank it, kept it refrigerated, and he said “It was great.”
