I have a pomegranate…now what the heck do I do with it??
Don’t know about you, but I’ve bought pomegranates, and upon opening them, realized I was in a bit of a pickle. I had stained the entire countertop, my fingertips, my shirt, and my kid a bright kool-aid red. Then, as I harvested the seeds, I thought, “Wait a minute…what am I going to do with the seeds once they’re out??”
Since then, I’ve figured you can put them in just about anything; salads (both fruit and vegetable), yogurt, freeze them inside ice cube trays with water to make beautiful and festive cubes for the holidays, put them in cereals, float them in your drinks, add to brown rice…the list goes on. With a taste a lot like a grape (with their sweet and tart flavor, and crunchy textures), and packed with antioxidants, well, this fruit is something to put on your list of things to try!
But back to my mom’s poor, white, stained countertops. I knew I had to discover a better way to open these suckers! I researched, and here I’m bringing to you my first video:
