Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo

By now, if you read often, you’re aware of the fact that I pre-cook my proteins during the weekend, chunk ‘em up into 2 or 3 ounce pieces, and freeze them in a large baggie to just pull out and use throughout the week.

(And for my fellow  Warp Speed-ers, this is a modification to a 3x recipe)

Add a tablespoon of butter to a pan, and soften onion and garlic (to your taste) in with the pre-cooked chicken till chicken is warmed all the way through.   Add just a smidge of water, just enough to steam a cup of broccoli, and cook till it’s a vibrant green color.

Turn off heat and top your serving with a sprinkle of shredded Cheddar.  Enjoy!!!

P.S I did get my stats today, but not my body fat percentages.  I’ll post them as soon as I get them.  I can tell you one thing, I’ve gone DOWN.  Not bikini stats yet, though!

P.P.S I bet this would be INCREDIBLE with shrimp in place of chicken!

So have you or anyone else you have been talking to extremely tired? Would this be effects of the plan or is it just me? I suppose it would help if I were more consistent with my multi-vitamin… Just wondering. I made the beef and broccoli last night (with seasme oil and soy sauce) – it was delicious!

Gonna have to try this version cuz i really wasnt that crazy about the original.

  3. Hallie, it’s normal to feel extremely tired on the Warp Speed for a little bit- you might try that (multivitamin) to help, also if you can get a bit more rest (impossible for me, but maybe possible for you). I actually don’t feel that tired, but I know my partner-in-28 day IS feeling tired too. As he’s done it a couple times, he says it’s something he’s experienced. He chalks it up to lack of carbs and our body’s response to that, as we’re so used to them.
Hope you’re doing well!! We’re almost halfway through!
ps if you need some caffeine, I posted a coffee recipe !!! it’s AWESOME!

  4. Hey Rayanne, Just be sure to take half the amount of butter, and a sprinkle of cheese, because you are substituting a fat for a fat…you don’t want to add more fat/calories. So you can also cook the onions and garlic in cooking spray and add more cheese, too, but I like the butter flavor :-D
