Renee's Island Mango Salsa
My good friend Renee gave me this wonderful recipe to compliment my own LOST inspired dinner- Island Boar, topped with Mango Salsa and Coconut rice on the side.
Mango Salsa
2 Mangos diced
½- whole Red onion diced (depending on how big the onion and how much you like onions)
1-2 cloves garlic pressed
1 jalapeño
Small handful of mint chopped
Fresh lime juice (one lime)
Olive oil
Just mix all...

Peanut's Peanut Butter Truffles
This Christmas, just before my mom passed away, my sister-in-law and I were both making chocolates like fiends, covering pretzels with chocolate and crushed candy canes, and dipping gummy bears, peanut butter, fruits, and pretty much any other thing you can dip into melted chocolates. German chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, chili chocolate, orange chocolate…any chocolate we could...

Another rendition of the Pumped-up Pumpkin
So as you’re all aware, I was not a big fan of the Pumped-up Pumpkin from the Warp Speed Fat Loss Plan. But I kicked it up a notch, toned it down, sweetened it up, and now, it’s a delectable, enjoyable dare I say, palatable treat.
Well I played around with it some more, and came up with something else – the Pumped up Pumpkin Shake!
The Pumped-up Pumpkin Shake
The original...

An Open Letter to my Partner-in-Warp-Speed
I came home to a crime scene tonight!!!!!! There was a kidnapping here, and there was a ransom note left!! Here’s what I found when I got home and opened my freezer:
Ransom Note!!!
OH MY! I was shocked to find that the ice cream being saved for post-warp-speed cheat meals had come up missing!!! The tempting, creamy, chocolatey, butterfingery, melt-in-your-mouth, tantalizing, titillating,...

One Raspberry Cafe Mocha Latte- COMIN' RIGHT UP!!
So us caffeine-heads who’ve embarked on the Warp Speed Fat Loss these past couple weeks have been unable to drink coffee for the past ohhh ten days or so, unless of course we drink it black. Since black coffee is too acidic for my stomach, and just downright unappealing, this becomes a problem. This makes for caffeine headaches, irritability, and without creating an immense list or going...

Oreo's, M&M's, and the Vermonster
So between the co-workers heating up pieces of pizza and making their cinammon-raisin bread toast, and my volunteering at the animal shelter (sounds weird, but hear me out!), I’m havin’ some serious issues with cravings.
I don’t even understand it. Tell me I can’t have something, and I can’t stop thinking about it!! I can go MONTHS without BREAD for cryin’...

Raspberry Coconut Cream Pie
I got a really sweet (literally) recipe submission on the leanKitchen .com submission page from Rachel, a fellow bootcamper.
Here’s what Rachel had to say:
Raspberry pie with ice cream
“In a bowl i place one scoop of protein powder. I then slowly add cold water until it forms a paste that can be molded into a ball, but is not sticky to the point it would stick in your throat if you...

The Pumped-Up Pumpkin
Alright so the pumped up pumpkin is not my favorite. I was excited at first about it, given that, at first glance, it looks a lot like some delicious pumpkin dessert (that probably was responsible for the additional 2.5 % body fat that I acquired over the holidays). But it tastes very sharp and cinamonny, and the cloves were pretty intense…and I like the flavor of cloves. If I’m gonna...

Day 1 Warp Speed (with Berries n' Cream)
So yeah I pretty much love the Warp Speed, though I am finding myself in little pickles with my frame of mind. I drove all the way to Dunkin’ Donuts yesterday morning for my coffee, only to get there and realize, unless it was black, I wasn’t drinking it. Dunkin’ D’s coffee is pretty potent, so unless it was diluted with something, I knew I’d be doing jumping jacks...
