The Bee’s Knees Fresh Fruit Bruschetta

Today, the power and beauty of the internet brings you a guest blogger from Hamburg, Germany!  Carla writes another food blog called The Bee’s Knees Kitchen.  When Carla first wrote, and sent me the link to her site,  I was immediately intrigued by the beautiful, colorful pictures.  Seriously, I’m not sure which I’m more impressed with, her food or her photography. Here’s...

Pistachio Cashew Almond Butter

Happy St. Patty’s Day, folks! I was thinkin’ it’d be really awesome to figure out some green breakfast for my readers, and NOT the typical green eggs.  I happened to see my friend Kristen’s facebook status yesterday, where she was making her own almond butter.  I thought, hmm…I could do pistachio butter on green apples for a nice natural, supportive green St. Patty’s...

The Mexican Scrambler

So about 6 months ago, I rejoined bootcamp.  I had taken an epic digger moving out of my old house and into my new one.  Anyone who knows me  on moving day knows one thing for certain, and that is this: I am not a force to be reckoned with!  I am 1. cranky, 2. miserable, 3. particular, 4. bossy and yes, 5. a smidge on the OCD side.  I HATE MOVING, and everyone knows it.  But this last...

Another rendition of the Pumped-up Pumpkin

So as you’re all aware, I was not a big fan of the Pumped-up Pumpkin from the Warp Speed Fat Loss Plan.  But I kicked it up a notch, toned it down, sweetened it up, and now, it’s a delectable, enjoyable dare I say, palatable treat.  Well I played around with it some more, and came up with something else – the Pumped up Pumpkin Shake!  The Pumped-up Pumpkin Shake   The original...

One Raspberry Cafe Mocha Latte- COMIN' RIGHT UP!!

So us caffeine-heads who’ve embarked on the Warp Speed Fat Loss these past couple weeks have been unable to drink coffee for the past ohhh ten days or so, unless of course we drink it black.  Since black coffee is too acidic for my stomach, and just downright unappealing, this becomes a problem.  This makes for caffeine headaches, irritability, and without creating an immense list or going...

Chocolate Covered Raspberry Shake

This is what I had for breakfast this morning.  How DELICIOUS does this look ??? Chocolate Breakfast Shake   Bubbly Creamy Delicious Perfection Chocolate Protein powder (2 scoops), 1/4 c. raspberries, 1/4 c spinach, 2 tbsp. almonds. Blend with 1 cup or 2 of water (depends how thick you want it) and some ice if you like…and ENJOY!

The Pumped-Up Pumpkin

Alright so the pumped up pumpkin is not my favorite.  I was excited at first about it, given that, at first glance, it looks a lot like some delicious pumpkin dessert (that probably was responsible for the additional 2.5 % body fat that I acquired over the holidays).  But it tastes very sharp and cinamonny, and the cloves were pretty intense…and I like the flavor of cloves.  If I’m gonna...

Day 1 Warp Speed (with Berries n' Cream)

So yeah I pretty much love the Warp Speed, though I am finding myself in little pickles with my frame of mind.  I drove all the way to Dunkin’ Donuts yesterday morning for my coffee, only to get there and realize, unless it was black, I wasn’t drinking it.   Dunkin’ D’s coffee is pretty potent, so unless it was diluted with something, I knew I’d be doing jumping jacks...

Apple-Berry Leathers with my Soulmate

Do you believe in Soulmates?  And in love at first sight?  Cheesy as it sounds, it happens.  That dreamy feeling, as though you’ve finally found exactly what you’ve been missing your whole life.  You wake up thinking about it, hardly able to wait for the next time you can be together, the feeling of not being able to imagine being in another place more perfect than the one you’re...

Pie in a glass will melt away your…stomach :)

There’ve been many variations of this that I’ve had recited to me; pumpkin pie, apple pie, cherry pie, chocolate silk pie, etc. etc. but here’s ”back to the  basics”: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 small apple, peeled, diced 1 cup water 10-15 nuts (doesn’t matter; I typically use almonds, and have also used walnuts) Sprinkle of cinammon Pie in a glass Blend...
