Alternative Ham Glaze
If you’re like me, you’re celebrating Easter Sunday today. And if you’re like me, your traditional ham is glazed with sugar (brown and white), maple syrup, bourbon, honey, molasses, you name it!
A good alternative is simply mustard (yellow, Dijon, horseradish, etc.), but if you simply cannot go without the sweet:
Puree 1 can of crushed pineapple with 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, and spread over the ham within the last 15 minutes of cooking. YUM!
Perfect holiday ham, with far less guilt!
“Hoppy” Easter, everybody!
